Wolf Moon

The January Wolf Moon, 2021

Some of you are aware that one of the features we designed into our house 35 plus years ago, are a number of skylights. And when we located it on our property we took particular care to orient it with respect to prevailing breezes and most importantly the path of the sun and in particular case that of the moon across the 4x4 foot skylight that is built into the slanting roof line about five feet over the head of our bed! So we get the effect of sleeping under the stars and watching the moon pass overhead. Roof lines prevent us seeing it until its been up about three hours on full nights but thats about when we are going to bed. This gives us about a 2-3 hour window when the light floods the head of our bed! ( Right now the last light reaching us spotlights Renee' sleeping face, an angel at rest!) So maybe its just all the nights we spent truly sleeping out side while camping or just a particular blessing we have but  I'm glad to report this article DOES NOT apply to us!

That full moon may be partly to blame for your recent sleep woes, researchers say

This photo was from two nights ago, taken through one of the high windows next to our living room fireplace, it seems you get a pretty great view of the moon as it rises full through it!

and me, well i have the moon and that beautiful face beside me! who could sleep?
