Good Friday.......Stations of the Cross

                                               The First Station

                                               Jesus is condemned to death.

                                      The Second Station

                                      The cross is laid on Simon of Cyrene.
 

                                      The Third Station

                                      Jesus meets the women of Jerusalem.

 

 

                                            The Fourth Station

                                             Jesus is nailed to the cross.

                                             The Fifth Station

                                              Jesus is mocked on the cross.

                                            The Sixth Station

                                             Jesus speaks from the cross.

                                                The Seventh Station

                                                 Jesus dies on the cross.

                                      The Eight Station

                                      Jesus is laid in the tomb.

 I think most Christians would view Easter as the most Holy Day of the year. For me though, its the events that begin in the Garden of Gethsemane and end as Jesus body is placed in the tomb. A number of years ago some friends and I recreated from the Gospel of Luke Stations of the Cross to make banners for our church. As we were creating these images we relived the intensity of those actual moments.
