More Old/New
Theres certainly a huge difference in size but both use the same principle-Harness the wind! In todays device, wind turbines- lots of technology, electronics, expense! The much, much older version- a whole lot simpler and in its various forms has accomplished its job since the 17th century, thats BC!!! While most modern turbines are around 250- 300 feet tall, there are a few taller than the Egyptian pyramids!
There's nothing quite like the sound of an "old windmill" turning in a breeze and the slap of its sucker rod as it pulls up water!
