Our House in the Big Bend!

 

 

 Well, technically its an out house but as you can see from the surroundings there's no trees to lean against! Try leaning against an ocotillo and see where that gets you! While you can see the mouth of Santa Elana Canyon from the right-side window the view directly ahead from the "throne" is of the Chisos Mountains and Mount Emory, the second highest peak in Texas! 

  Eight miles from the nearest paved road, though four of those aren't even roads, and over terrain and through hopefully dry washes and creek beds that takes a very skilled driver and 45min to ? hours to navigate you'd think it would be left alone. 

  But no, its been deliberately turned over several times. And we leave water there in case someone is in distress.

  Sad.
