Pollo Asado al Norteno

So I've written about this place down in San Antonio that has the BEST pollo asado in the world! They were shut down for the better part, or maybe longer, of a year..... first by "neighbors" complaining about the smoke! And folks this is SA not the weird neighbor to the north Austin. And the place was packed from the minute it opened for years, mostly with people who lived in the area. Its on a very commercial street- tire shops, feed stores, garages, etc. So the complaints got the Texas Air Quality board involved and it really got bad for them! This is the kind of smoke you smell driving by and just leave your car in the road to go in and grab some of whatever they are selling! To finally satisfy the Air Quality Board they had to put so many scrubbers on the roof concrete walls had to be added to support it! But it looks like they've satisfied them! As you can see not the least bit of smoke! And the chicken is still out of this world!

Now this is a plastics plant near Houston that blew up a week or so ago. It happens pretty regularly but they don't seem to get shut down. They only had to evacuate 50000 people.
