Here Come the Beans!

A week or so ago cooler temperatures brought out the bean pot! Pinto beans of course! My wifes committment to make the cornbread sealed the deal. Not counting the overnight soak its a 6-8 hour process ( depending on just how patient you are). No worries though if you're a little early- they are even better the second day! And we had fresh roasted Hatch green chili's in the freezer! The secret of course is the pot, its been building the seasoning for over twenty years! Wish i could be around to taste them twenty years from now!



Of course by then there may only be "plant based pork" for the seasoning!😕
