I don't know how many times I've stopped on my way to the Big Bend to buy tamales from him over the last thirty-five years. The Comanche Tortilliaria in Fort Stockton. And had him let me in early in the morning to buy them, just coming out of the steamer- even before his workers had arrived. A dozen to go and a dozen to eat sitting on the sidewalk in front of his shop while the sun came up!

He gave me a key chain i carried until i lost it, very regretfully. I will Never forget what it said

   You can make it, If you try!

He matters.
