A Different Perspective

on the supermoon! As a result of my leg injury I slept and spent most of my time in a recliner in the living room for three months. It has great natural light and four different skylights! ( I did something right when we built the house over 30 years ago! However putting the master bedroom and bath upstairs has proven to be shortsided these past months :(
From my spot in the recliner I was treated to several consecutive full moon rises. With the technology in todays cameras I was able to take this photograph. Not so much a "great photo" as a testament to how photographic potential has advanced in my years. And its hand-held or maybe I should say "recliner supported"!
The other image is an abstract of moonlight coming thru the stained glass in the skylight.

certainly not the same as standing outside in the crisp night air or watching from a warm sleeping bag out in the Big Bend but definitely appreciated!

That was Just Plain Horrible

wasn't it? Sorry my being unable to walk is starting to wear me down. That combined with my eye problems which severely restrict my ability to read are a real bummer. Then I got pneumonia and while I'm doing well with recovery from that breathing makes talking very difficult. My wife and daughter strangely don't seem too bothered by that? It was suggested that I should use headphones if I MUST LISTEN TO THE STEREO THAT LOUD!!
Maybe this photograph will make up for all this whining and that horrible pear experience!

My father-in-law floating through Santa Elena canyon in the Big Bend! I remember how hard we worked to get him to go with us and how totally engrossed he was by the trip. Totally priceless! And I had cold Lone Star waiting for us in the ice chest back in camp!

my pear pictures

Everybody takes a picture of a pear. To distinguish my work I have chosen to take two images, an after and a before! Further I composed  and photographed while listening to classical music in my head. Then I edited them while listening to classical music on a stereo. Perhaps the results would be different if I had chosen hip-hop! Maybe i'll save that for bell peppers.

No Photo Needed

There's just nothing like the big grin that forms on your face when you see a good friend for the first time in quite a while! And the one that comes back to you, before either says a word. You know what I mean. And I hope you feel like that right now!
