Monday, National Pi Day!

Theres some wind, but the sun is coming in and out as well. Plus we are headed for highs near 80 this week! Maybe, just maybe, its about to be spring! Unfortunately they've also changed the TIME on us again!
 

Ash Wednesday and yes, the flag is upside down!

 

So why are we looking at a picture of the Texas State Flag? and upside down? Well, for as important as Ash Wednesday is to me ( you can read previous posts to confirm that) it's also Texas Independence Day and in my opinion, we are at the perilous point throwing away the freedom this great state  has stood for since its birth! It has never been perfect, at times horrendous- particularly to some peoples, but never so far from basic decency as it approaches now. All for the sake of individual ambition, just like the state of democracy in these United States of America. Individually, I believe in a salvation offered to us, through many paths, for me it is Christianity.  Understanding and welcoming Ash Wednesday is key to that for me. But for a state, or a nation, ultimately the world, that is not offered to governments by a Higher Power. It has to come from us, the people.
