I went and saw a "guy" movie this afternoon while my wife and daughter watched a rat cook soup. It made me remember this picture from quite a few years back and think of it very differently. My movie, not the cooking rat!
It rained here off and on through the Fourth, a perfect day to hang out on the patio lounging in our hammocks! My daughter spent less time lounging and more using her's as a swing or trampoline! And the rain kept the flag under cover most of the day. Me, I didn't even get out of my hammock to take this picture!
Both my wife and daughter were with me when I took the previous picture and they voted that I post this picture, as they said it more expressed the moment than the other. They are probably right, even feeling the power of the water is was awfully peaceful.
I was born in Texas and have lived here all my life.I have been taking photographs for more than sixty years. I have been married for forty-six years. I have been a father for twenty-two years.I still have the second camera and the second car I ever bought. A Miranda G and a 65Mustang.
