The Day Before Yesterday

I was in Huntsville. It had been fifteen years since I was there last. And it was over thirty-nine years ago that this pictures was taken. In the house on Avenue J a block from campus Bruce and I shared. Most of the time he was laughing at me, none of the time did I care. I dont know when the house became a parking lot. It allready was when I was by fifteen years ago. It still is. I'm still happy when I can get Bruce to laugh.

Happy Birthday!

Phineas turns 102 on September 10. He is very much alive, alert, and active. I am very proud that he has eaten both my stew and my chili- and drunk my beer! And walked out of my house of his own power after! For the person he is and the lives he has touched it is hard to imagine just how much he matters. I guess all I can speak to is that he matters to me.
