is fluid and perception of its passing is definitely related to age. As I've aged time passes faster and faster, particularly when the events it encompasses are enjoyable! Unfortunately it seems to slow down and really drag by when those events are unpleasant. I would say I have had a very fortunate life and am blessed with so much of that life falling into the joyous category- giving me such a wealth of wonderful memories. Maybe that's why many older people experience short term memory loss? Could it be that our brains prefer to focus on a store of great experiences, friendships, and loves? As for me, I've still got both long term and short term memories in plenty- although I do sometimes put my empty coffee cup in the refrigerator!
hopefully my eye surgery will be successful and I will be able to see again. Right now my eyelids droop so much that I cant keep them open. Its been this way for months and has gotten worse. At first I could scotch tape them up but now that strains the muscles around the eyes too much to do that for more than about an hour a day. Very frustrating! I'm sleeping in the bedroom we first used as Hallies room and Renee' put fluorescent stars all over the ceiling for her! They are still there just blurred through the eyelid"s and it will be nice to have them sharp again, see the Milky Way R made and go to sleep knowing that this was what Hallie saw for many years! It will be even better when I can get back up the stairs to our bedroom and watch the real ones though the skylight over our bed!
