The First Day of Fall Got Here! Of course we're still expected hit 99 degrees tomorrow and everything has had fall colors ( shades of brown anyway) all summer! But who knows whats next?

Back in July

 I made the last RV trip in our first RV ( the 2006 Winnebago View). It performed well, at least until the last two days! Gone now but never forgotten ( at least all the very expensive lessons we learned! or the great times we had!) Yes, we learned to laugh through the tears! Anyway for most of the trip I was solo, photographing in a wonderfully scenic area of stark beauty.....  the South Dakota Badlands! Here are a few of the images I made.

In Memory of 9-11-2001

    Hallie was born just weeks before 9-11. Most of you know we were scared that our adoption papers wouldn't make it because air traffic was shut down in the US as they were scheduled to go. But they did! This was her first real laugh and smile in Renee's arms while we were in China! 

   I pray that she and and all the others who came into this world, as so many were taken, can find some way for humanity to learn to love, not hate.
 

I'm hoping for Jimmy Buffett music

 tomorrow in the OR! The surgeon who usually does my heart catheterizations  lets me pick, I've had three. New guy tomorrow- dont know what he will be like. I'm planning on trying to try and take a camera in ( I'm awake for the procedure and have all kinds of shots planned!) When I had open heart surgery I tried to get them to let me set up a camera on a tripod with an intravalometer so it would take a pic every minute! No Dice! I know d%&n well they videoed the whole thing!

This was me- 1972 in my room in the house I rented for college in Huntsville Avenue G.  Oh how the world has changed!
