I have always been particularly intrigued by the untold stories behind the many feet passing up and down staircases to wear their treads down so spectacularly. And just how smooth and polished those treads become worn, whether wood or stone. When I made this image I wasn't really looking to highlight that but rather found it as a bonus later. I think I will have to go back and pay more attention!
All three of us love the water, I just dont like the beach. And all three of us love the Big Bend. We are fortunate to own a little piece of it, pretty hard to get to but worth the effort. It is amazing to watch as Hallie developes her own appreciation of things. I'm not sure what she was looking at here, maybe the sunset- it wasn't me, but she was so confident in such a BIG open place to be looking in just the opposite direction from her mother. And me, I was looking at both of them.
And no, I didn't put her in time-out just for the picture. In fact I had to go back inside to get a camera after I put her there. Well,, something good had to come of it all!
I was born in Texas and have lived here all my life.I have been taking photographs for more than sixty years. I have been married for forty-six years. I have been a father for twenty-two years.I still have the second camera and the second car I ever bought. A Miranda G and a 65Mustang.
