are still so tiny, yet so much bigger than when I first took her in my arms. She is growing so wonderfully sure of herself ( out of the blue she decided she would learn to play the violin). And while it seems at times there is growing this gulf between us- I know it's going to grow even bigger. Thats OK, I understand she needs the room to be her! Right now our love still bridges that gulf, easily- her hand still reaches all the way to mine- and I live in prayer that her mother and I will be able to hold on to that love AND let her become herself!

A room full of bits and pieces of the past, some of which confirmed very early childhood memories of mine- Like the monorail that ran around the ceiling of the top department at Christmas time!
